John Lyons - Lonely Fool
John Lyons Band, Album: Natural #Blues https://www.johnlyons.ch, https://amzn.to/2GGfIgE Lyrics: She's just 18 years old She's ready to spread her wings and fly And now she has to make a decision She got to choose one or the other guy Lonely fool... Oh lonely fool she's gonna choose you Don't matter who that girl gonna choose Some lonely boy is gonna have the blues Work hard, make your money Go to work every day You try do the right things, but it's so hard, All them problems get in the way Lonely fool...Time gonna catch up to you No matter which road you choose Oh Someday, I know you're gonna have the blues hey....(instrumental solo part) One day you're gonna be sorry But it's gonna be too late Your girl done walked out on you And your friends they all gone Lonely fool, I know someday you gonna be cryin' No matter which road you choose I know , I know someday you gonna be cryin' the blues yeahhhhh You work hard for your money You try to do the right things but you still end up down Sometimes Life don't seem so fair Sometimes nobody cares No matter what you do I think you gonna cry the blues John Lyons grew up on a farm in South Haven, MI, but moved to Zurich, Switzerland, in 2001. He is a very eclectic songwriter, a very expressive guitarist, and quite the observer of the human condition. For his third album, “Sing Me Another Song,” he lets his storyteller’s soul run free on thirteen original songs that draw from everyday life that all listeners can relate to, mostly dealing with themes of love, loss, and hope for a brighter day further on up the road. Let the Devil Out (lyrics video)
LINKS: https://www.johnlyons.ch/let-the-devil-out I was born in '69 my mama left me but I don't mind my daddy split he didn't give a shit they left me with a troubled mind I left my home at the age of fifteen some say that I was a troubled teen sex and drugs and rock & roll the only things that could feed my soul Somebody let the devil out the day that I was born I had a girl and she rocked my world but from my life she was torn I keep holding on to the dreams I hold so dear one day I'll be gone but my spirit will be here Now I'm a man and I sing the blues Wake up every morning with my walking shoes Send my love to the stars above Stay out of my way 'cuz I've paid my dues Sometimes I think of my old friends I wonder where this journey ends I just keep on rollin' along To live another day & sing another song Somebody let the devil out the day that I was born I had a girl and she rocked my world but from my life she was torn I keep holding on to the dreams I hold so dear one day I'll be gone but my spirit will be here Somebody let the devil out
